DEAR DIARY
7:42 AM
They're fighting for you and vying for me,
We're pulling the rubber band so hard you see.
They steal our time and pull us apart,
and create some tension deep within my heart.
Will the day come, the rubber band's taut, we're so far apart.
Any second now, a snip and a snap, it breaks.
The rebounding force gives a stinging slap on the face.
Now what is there to do but break down and cry.
Six months ago, so happy and fine,
so pure so innocent, so happy and fine.
Six months later, not so happy.
Some progress made, but not so fine.
Can you hear it, when no concern is there.
Can you see it, when no joy is there.
Can you feel it, when your love is not there.
What would it take, for you to hear, see, feel.
The anger is foreign,
Frustration discomforting,
Annoyance heartbreaking,
Impatience telling.
For the first time in a long time, i've been alone at home throughout the long weekend. Nothing worth cheer, everything's pointless. A clump and a lump of nothingness.
-
The resounding chords of longing, of fear.
That announces your premature departure.
It's so easy for something to become nothing.
All it takes it just a day. Can i say i've lost you and i know it.
Another one of those terribly long days.
How can it be, there's absolutely
Nothing
To look forward to.
